I thought that both Kerry and Biden did an excellent job at bashing John McCain and George Bush when it comes to foreign policy and the doumentary by Speiberg about veterans was pretty well done. But I thought that the Democrats should describe more about the true cost of the Second Iraq war. Although Kerry and later General Kennedy stated about how McCain voted constantly against veterans benefits they should have included more personal stories. There are many horror stories about the way that veterans have been treated by the Bush administration. For instance there is a veteran of the Second Iraq War with PTSD who constantly visits my local bookstore. His mother just drops himself off there because she probabaly does not know what to do with him. So he just sits almost motionless at a table talking to no one. There Democrats need mention more horror stories like these to show to the American people the true cost of war.
