Democracy Arsenal Relaunch Posted by Suzanne Nossel

We've relaunched Democracy Arsenal on a new platform, and made some tweaks to the layout and design of the site (with a few more still to come).  If the site looks screwy, please hit refresh and then update your bookmarks with the new site.  Let us know if you like the changes, and if you have any problems reloading the site.

Did you intend to give up the info that used to be in the left hand column? I think it is useful to have the mission of the blog, the names of the primary contributors and other basic information available all the time.

I also think the index of articles (at least recent ones) and subject headings would be helpful on the side rather than at the bottom, after all the articles.

These comments are based on viewing the blog from my Mac (OS/X 10.4.5 w/Safari). I know that sometimes blogs are redesigned on a windows system and the changes may not be reflected as intended on a Mac, so you may already have the features I mentioned above.

Never mind my previous comment - it took a second try on the 'refresh' button to get the column to appear (on the right, rather than the left, but it looks fine there).

Overall, I think the layout is, indeed, a bit better than before. Nice job.

I was about to say what Caitlyn said, regarding the left sidebar, but then I saw her mention of refreshing, and sure enough, the sidebar turned up on the right!

It looks quite good (Firefox, Mac 10.4.5). Nice work.

OK, now I am going to read the post on the India nuclear deal, which is exactly what I came over here hoping to find!

I like the new look. Very clean.

In fact, I find the blog much more readable with the info column on the right instead of the left.

Like it. I'd prefer the short bits by "arsenal guard" to be in smaller font and slightly compressed as they take up a lot of screen space when I've come to the blog to read signed posts.
